Adventure
Lantern Hollow
★★★★☆ 4.3
Lantern Hollow is a slow, atmospheric adventure. You wander a deserted village with a lantern, solving small environmental puzzles and piecing together what happened to the people who lived there. It's melancholy in the best way.
The tap-to-move navigation is forgiving, and the puzzles lean on observation rather than obscure logic — I only got properly stuck once, and the hint system nudged me without spelling it out. The hand-painted backgrounds are gorgeous on an OLED screen.
It's short, maybe three hours, but it doesn't overstay. I finished it in two sittings and found myself thinking about the ending afterward. If you want a story game with no pressure, this is an easy recommendation.
What we liked
- Beautiful hand-painted environments
- Puzzles built on observation, not guesswork
- A short but memorable story
